The temperature is high about 29 °C all year round. The average humidity is 75-85%; and the average average rainfall is 800 - 2000 mm per year. The total hours of sunshine are 2459 hours per year. These figures are seasonally differential. Eastern coastal area including Phan Thiet City is affected by the oceanic climate of South Central Vietnam with low precipitation and humidity. Meanwhile, the region between northwestern and southeastern areas is portrayed by temperate and unstable rainfall level. La Nga River watershed includes the entire watershed lying within two districs of Duc Linh and Tanh Linh. This area is mainly affected by weather in Southeast Vietnam and weather in Central Highlands. It has lower temperature and higher rainfall. Sea area and Phu Quy Island are characterized by a cool and temperate climate.

Binh Thuan weather is typified by two distinct seasons: rainy season and dry season. The rainy season lasts from May to October, while the dry season stretches from November to April. The average temperature in this province is 26-27°C. In rainy season, the temperature in Binh Thuan does not fluctuate much, ranging around 30°C. The average high temperature is seen in August (about 31°C), while the rest months witness a same level of 30°C. The average low temperature in rainy season is 25-26°C. The gap between these temperatures is about 5°C. The average precipitation in this season reaches about 150mm. it rains mostly in June and August with the rainfall of above 170mm. In August, the figure mounts nearly 200mm. During this season, heavy rains occur more often but not last long. And the total rainfall in rainy season is not too high. The average humidity is about 79%.

Binh Thuan in dry season undergoes moderate temperature period. The average temperature in this season fluctuates around 28°C. The highest average temperature is seen in December (25.1°C), while the lowest one is estimated in April (21°C). The gap between the average high temperature and low temperature is not stable. The biggest difference is seen in December with the average high temperature of 30°C and the average low one is 23°C. Meanwhile, the smallest gap is pointed in April (2°C). Interestingly, the temperature range is on the rise from January to March, suddenly falls in April, followed by an increase in May. As it is dry season, the rainfall here is very little, below 45mm per month. The highest precipitation is seen in November with about 42mm, and the lowest one is in January and March (6mm).
