It exhibits 216 artifacts of Sa Huynh Culture dating back around 2,000 years, which was discovered through surveys, archaeological excavations in Hau Xa, Thanh Chiem, An Bang, Xuan Lam… from 1989 to 1994. Thanks to its great number of artifacts, the museum is considered the largest and most unique collection on Sa Huynh Culture in Vietnam.

Appeared about 3,000 years ago and ended up in the 1st century, Sa Huynh culture might have existed more than 5,000 years. It extended from the Neolithic period to the beginning of the Iron Age in provinces from Quang Binh to South Central Coast and Central Highlands. With a strong and various creations, Sa Huynh Culture had increasingly seen the influence and exchanges with numerous regions in Southeast Asian, ancient China and ancient India. Coming to the museum, tourists easily recognize the architecture and such distinctive style. Yet the most impressive one in Sa Huynh Museum is burial jar collection. They are gourd-shaped jars in multi sizes and 0.6m to 1.8m tall, which are made of terracotta of Sa Huynh Culture. Residents of ancient Champa kingdom had used these jars for burial. Numerous jars in multi shapes had been nested for moisture resistance and conservation of spirits full of mysteries. In addition, archaeological works which was presented in the transition of ages, styles and cultural patterns harmoniously strangely fascinated tourists. These artifacts were god statues of Vishnu, Apsara, Nadin, Shiva, Makara, and Garuda... made of sandstones - a characteristic material of Cham culture.

Besides, earrings in lion's head shape, beast shape, or bronze three-pin shape with many variations incorporating feelings of their artisans are always fascinating and provoking a marvelous discovery... In particular, Western Han Dynasty bronze mirror dating from 1st century BC with numerous sophisticated patterns symbolizes strength and power of the tribe and tribal.
