In the morning of December 8th, 2014, the opening ceremony of Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia Youth Cooperation Conference was organized in Hanoi Capital. This year, Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia Youth Cooperation Conference focuses on discussing measures to strengthen cooperation and contribute to preservation and promotion of solidarity and friendship among Indochina countries. The conference is also a wonderful opportunity to exchange experience in advocacy works, solidarity, and promotion of youth's role in developing economics and society. In the conference, Indochina youths have a good chance to share about innovative models and good practices in volunteering works of each country. These activities will help to educate young people in Indochina countries about the friendship and solidarity among three countries, enhance the mutual understanding among young generations through discussion, exchange, and learning about history, culture, politics, economics, and society of each country.
Speaking at the ceremony, First Secretary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Nguyen Dac Vinh emphasized: "The traditional friendship among Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia is an invaluable asset of three countries. New young generations are aware of the honor, pride, and also great responsibilities to preserve and promote this traditional relation." In the past years, the cooperation among Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia youth has achieved good results through practical activities such as exchanging high-level delegations of the Youth Union, alternately holding meetings and conferences, strengthening exchange activities, cooperating in training activities, and so on.
Mr. Hoang Binh Quan, member of the Party Central Committee and Head of External Relations stated that Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia Youth Cooperation Conference was a practical activity to enhance the traditional friendship and solidarity, especially to promote comprehensive cooperation for young generation. This is also a great occasion for senior leaders of young unions to exchange experiences and learn from each other. Mr. Hoang Binh Quan also appreciated the initiative of the Young Union in organizing diverse activities in the conference.
Also at the conference, First Secretary of the Central Committee of Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union Vilayvong Bouddakham and Chairman of Cambodia Young Association agreed that the conference was a good opportunity to exchange and agree on concerned issues and propose measures and solutions to promote traditionally friendly relations of young unions among 3 countries. After the opening ceremony, Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia youths came together to exchange and share experience and discuss solutions to promote the role of young generations in strengthening friendship and solidarity of people in three countries in general and youths in particular. The conference will come to the end tomorrow December 10th, 2014.
