Hoa Binh is a mountainous province in the Northwest Vietnam. Like Ninh Binh and Thanh Hoa provinces, Hoa Binh borders three regions of northwest, northeast and north central coast of Vietnam.
Dien Bien is located in the Northwest Vietnam, bordering the provinces of Lai Chau and Son La, Yunnan of China, Phongslay province of Laos, Pak Xeng, Pak Ou districts in Luang Prabang, Laos.
Lai Chau is a border province in the Northwest Vietnam, adjacent to China in the north, Dien Bien in the west and southwest, Lao Cai in the east, Yen Bai in the southeast and Son La in the south. The province is also the residence of many ethnic groups.
Yen Bai has an important strategic position in the national security confirmed in the history of building and defending the country. Yen Bai today has been striving to become a strong economy and solid defense sector in building and defending the country.
