MHI Aerospace Vietnam (MHIVA) Co., Ltd, a member of the Mitsubishi Heavy Industry (MHI) Corporation has completed the construction of the assembly plant passenger doors for the new Boeing 777 in Hanoi. This is the first MHI’s Boeing 777 door factory in Vietnam. The factory was put into operation since October 22, 2014. The factory was built on an area of 6,500m². It is an extension of the office area of MHIVA in Thang Long Industrial Park (TLIP) in Hanoi. Initially, the plant will manufacture passenger door for the Boeing 777, which used to the task of MHI factory in Nagoya (Japan). Boeing 777 have been recognized as the world leading line of commercial 2-engine large-scale aircraft, with over 1,200 ones produced since the first launch in 1994. MHI is a strategic manufacturing partner, responsible for producing not only door passenger, but the fuselage. In 1993, the company started to supply components for the first Boeing 777 in the world.
The opening of the MHIVA's factory of door passenger for Boeing 777 with the milestone of shipping the 1,000th flap of Boeing 737 is the recognition for the efforts of skilled local staff and high - quality production line provided by MHIVA and Vietnam," said Mr. Skip Boyce, Chairman of Boeing in Southeast Asia. In the time to come, MHI with support from Boeing will continue promoting cooperation with MHIVA and other domestic partners of MHIVA to develop further the scale of manufacturing commercial aircraft.
