Summer Concert in Hanoi will take place at 9 pm on April 9 in L'Espace French Cultural Center, at 24 Trang Tien Street in Hoan Kiem District of Hanoi. The event has the participation of famous artists such as Conductor Nguyen Khac Thanh, Viola player Nguyet Thu, Violist Tran Quang Duy, and Hanoi Chamber Orchestra. The program will bring outstanding performances of famous musical works of W. Mozart to audiences including Symphony Concertante for Viola, Violin and orchestra; Symphony No.25 in G minor. Hanoi Chamber Orchestra is the convergence of many young artists from Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, and Vietnam Academy of Music with professional and dedicated performing art with the purpose of bringing classical and academic music to audiences. The ticket price is 250,000 VND. The tickets are sold at L’Espac and Hanoi Opera House.
Some brief introductions about Vietnamese artists participating in the program:
Conductor Nguyen Khac Thanh was born, and brought up in Hue: He started to learn violin in Hue Academy of Music in 1985, and left after 10 years. From 1995 to 2000, he studied at Vietnam National Academy of Music and his major was violin performance. After graduation, he has been working at Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra. Artist Nguyen Khac Thanh used to perform with Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra in some famous local and international programs (in New York, Boston, Vernice, Florence, Rome, Tokyo, Kyoto, Nagoya, Osaka, Moscow, and Saint Petersburg. He is contributing greatly to the Vietnam classical music.
Vilola Nguyen Nguyet Thu, born in a traditional musical family, started to learn violin when she was 6. And, she used to be one of the excellent students of Hanoi Academy of Music. From 1989 to 1999, she studied in Moscow and graduated with excellent degree at Tchaikovsky Academy of Music. Her teacher was Yuri Bashmet Prof., one of the best violist in the world. In 1995, Nguyen Nguyet Thu became one of artists playing in Glazunov Group under the introduction of Berlinsky - a famous cellist in Borodin Group. During the time, she got many precious awards and certificates in musical contest for violin in UK and Russia. She continued her sole career and played important position in some international orchestras. She also participated in many important classical music concerts in Vietnam.
Violin Tran Quang Duy was born in 1986 in Quang Ninh. In 1996, he was selected to study violin in Hanoi Academy of Music by Excellent Artist Ngo Van Thanh as also his teacher. Tran Quang Duy became a young violist with many contribution to society. He used to be member of many local and regional orchestras such as Hanoi Symphony Orchestra and Southeast Asia Young Symphony Orchestra. With these orchestras, he participated in many International Musical Festival in Guangdong (China) and Beethoven Musical Festival in Germany... Apart from classical music, he also took part in recording many pop songs and OTS for TV series of Vietnam Television. In terms of society, he performed in many artistic activities and programs on charity such as "Earth Hour" and "Towards Central". With the dedication and contributions, Tran Quang Duy was awarded and honored with his outstanding achievements.
