After three year of implementation, GetGreen project has gained many achievements in improving Vietnam environment. The GetGreen Vietnam project was widely and successfully organized in four major cities as Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, and Can Tho.

After three years of the implementation, the GetGreen Vietnam organized by European Union and SWITCH - Asia to support Vietnam in the line of sustainable development comes to an end. The conference chain of "Sustainable Consumption in Vietnam" in turn was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Hanoi in this April, which marked the initial success of the project in improving the Vietnam environment. GetGreen Vietnam started from April 2012 to May 2015. The project was formed by the initiative of European Union and SWITCH - Asia with the host of Delft Technology University (Netherlands). It is conducted by two partners in Vietnam - Vietnam Cleaner Production Center and Asian Institute of Technology in Vietnam. To meet the purpose of enhancing sustainable consumption in Vietnam, the project focuses on improving the qualification of community group and governmental organizations in persuading consumers to use friendly-environment products.

The strategy of changing from the "changing seed" is to create a green community in Vietnam. Up until now, the project trained successfully 1099 "changing seeds" from 52 green consumption groups in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Can Tho. After the process of receiving practical training from 75 green consumption guides including information about benefits of environment, personal benefits, and steps to achieve sustainable consuming behaviors. 1099 changing seeds will continue to share knowledge about sustainable consumption to loved ones, friends or colleagues to multiply the impact of sustainable consumption in Vietnam society. It is a significant success for a community among projects in Vietnam.

In the framework of the project, a Green Living Guide including 75 consuming green instructions has been developed and put into training through 8 practical topics such as Intelligent Traffic, Green Office, 3R Office, and Energy Saving. After a short training time, green instructions are quickly applied in daily life of each individual in GetGreen. After the end of the project, the Green Living Guide will be public in community. The chain of Sustainability Festival and GetGreen Vietnam in Phase 2 will take place in March and April (2015) in four cities of Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho. This is a series of events connecting individuals and organizations involved in a training project of sustainable Vietnam lifestyles in consumption from October 2015 to January 2015. The events marked the milestone of completing training objective of more than 1000 "Changing Seeds" towards sustainable lifestyles in Vietnam and carrying important implications to efforts by European Union and SWITCH - Asia in support of Vietnam on the line of sustainable development.
