Great air show of Vietnam Airlines Boeing 787-9

In the 51st Paris Air Show Vietnam Airlines Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with new brand identity performed a spectacular flight attracting the admiration of international airlines and aircraft manufacturers attending the event.

The flight performance of Vietnam Airlines Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner made a great impression on the opening day of the 51st Paris Air Show in Paris. The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with light blue and yellow lotus of Vietnam Airlines had a spectacular performance. It took off nearly straight towards the sky of Bourget Airport. This is the first time, Vietnam Airlines aircraft has a chance to perform at a large international aviation exhibition like the Paris Air Show. Vice President in charge of sales of Boeing commercial aircraft - Mr. Raymond Conner and senior officials presented on the 2nd floor of Boeing in the exhibition to jointly witness the flight performances with CEO of Vietnam Airlines - Mr. Pham Ngoc Minh and delegates of Vietnam Airlines from Vietnam and in Europe.

CEO of Vietnam Airlines - Mr. Pham Ngoc Minh expressed his joy and pride that this is the first time Vietnam Airlines had a chance to show its new aircraft in the world largest air exhibition. In its promotions, VNA received the help and cooperation of Boeing in introducing to the public the new Dreamliner of Vietnam Airlines fleet. The airline's leader also was very excited to say that this was a new start for the quality image as well as customer service committed in the coming months when the Boeing 787-9 started long-haul flights from Hanoi and HCM City to Heathrow (UK), and from November on routes from Hanoi/HCM City to Frankfurt. In the coming months of 2015 and 2016, Vietnam Airlines will replace almost of the long-haul flights to Europe, to Australia by using new generation fleet.

It is reported that Vietnam Airlines has innovation strategies for the entire wide body fleet consisting of 33 aircrafts, including 19 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and 14 Airbus A350, which will be delivered in over 3 years, from mid-2015 to early 2019. The performing aircraft is the first Boeing 787-9 of 19 units that Vietnam Airlines orders and leases from Boeing. Expectedly, the formal transfer of the aircrafts will be conducted in July to. Vice President in charge of sales of Boeing commercial aircrafts - Raymond Conner highly appreciated the cooperation between Boeing and Vietnam Airlines - an important reason that the company put Vietnam Airlines Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner for the show. According to Mr. Conner, This is the most looking-forward show after the aircraft manufacturer release the video online. The show of this year is more impressive than the previous one. The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner saves up to 20% of fuel compared to other aircrafts. It is a friendly to the environment. Choosing the Boeing with Vietnam Airlines logo expressed the strong cooperation between Vietnam Airlines and Boeing.

Receiving Boeing 787-9 at the end of July and Airbus A350 WXB at the end of June, Vietnam Airlines will become the first airline in Asia owning two most modern aircrafts in the world. The plan marks the outstanding development of Vietnam Airlines in scale, quality and exploitation effect. Thereby, it will improve the capability and position of Vietnam Airlines in domestic and international market. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Phuong - Director of Vietnam Airlines brand in EU believed in the development of the airline in Europe when Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is going to be exploited in the time coming. If Boeing Dreamliner is exploited in Europe, it will have a positive function with European market. It will meet the market with high-quality service. This is a great breakthrough of Vietnam Airlines in Europe. It is expected that the revenue of Vietnam Airlines in EU will have a significant growth. Being born in 1909, the Paris Air Show is the old aviation event, as well as the largest international air show in the world. Being held every two year, the 51st Paris Air Show attracted more than 2000 units from nearly 50 countries. The air show puts saving energy and environmental protection in priority. On the opening day, there were many contract valued more than 20 billion USD signed.
