According to experts, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province will achieves more successes in tourism sector in the near future thanks to favorable geographical location and the initiative of travel companies in creating new products and services. However, to improve the quality of services, it is required to build a place for receiving feedbacks and reviews of tourists. This information will be the basis to adjust and improve services. In addition, during their stay in Vung Tau, tourists need some help in recommending restaurants, hotels, transport services, tourist attractions, and where to buy local specialties. Tourist Supporting Center will be a perfect place meeting the needs of information and protecting rights of tourists.
Mr. Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Director of Vung Tau’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that a large number of cities and provinces across Vietnam have built their Tourist Supporting Centers such as Hoi An, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, Hanoi, and so on. Aforementioned centers are completing well their duties as places providing information and warnings also for tourists, especially international ones. Learning the same models of other provinces, Vung Tau’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has recently organized a meeting with Departments of the Interior of Long Dien, Dat Do, Xuyen Moc Districts and Provincial Tourism Association to discuss the establishment of Tourist Supporting Center. The majorities of participants agreed heartily that idea. Some representatives reported that tourism in certain districts is growing significantly, the number of tourists increased considerably. Most resorts and hotels in Vung Tau use direct tools for guiding such as online maps, road signs placed on highways, and staffs guiding tourists at transport hubs. Every month, Management Boards of resorts in Xuyen Moc District assists many tourists in asking for directions, attractions or even where to buy phone card and pump gas. Therefore, a tourist supporting center is required to meet the demand of tourists.
Currently, the plan of establishing Tourist Supporting Center is being drawn up.. This establishment is included in the strategy of provincial tourism development until 2020, vision to 2030. It is expected that in the near future, tourists visiting Vung Tau, one of the most beautiful coastal cities in Vietnam, will be provided with best services as well as full information and be protected from bad problems also.
