The first Italian Film Festival in Vietnam is organized by Goffredo Bettini in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Hanoi, Italian Trade Commission (ICE) in Vietnam and Playtown Roma Cultural Association under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture - Film General Department, Ministry of Economic Development and Chamber of Commerce in Rome, as well as the contribution of partners and private donors. At the festival, the public in Hanoi will enjoy 12 most typical Italian films awarded in the recent cinema season through the guidance and recommendations from the interpreter and famous film directors such as Ferzan Ozpetek, Paola Minaccioni, Pippo Del Bono, Claudio Noce, Stefano Fresi and Valeria Solarino - a famous star.
Accompanying these premiered films is projects of premium Italian fashion brand - Maison Gattinoni in collaboration with the Council of Italy - Vietnam Fashion with the theme "The elegance of cuisine, culinary stories, and fashion". Among those, there are 20 exclusive designs with vintage and contemporary styles, which will be presented to the public. The project also aims to illustrate visually the combination of fashion and cuisine, between trendy topics and sustainability - one of the focal points of Milano Expo 2015, as well as to introduce the creativity of the young Italian and Vietnamese designers, along with world-famous designers.

These films will be introduced by directors, including Ferzan Ozpetek, Paola Minaccioni, Pippo Del Bono, Claudio Noce and Stefano Fresi.
Some sideline activities are programs relating to cuisine and fashion. The exhibition will show a part in a bigger exhibition of Maison Gattinoni staged by Stefano Dominella in Mercati Traianei, Roma. The exhibition aims to introduce famous old Italian designers to Asian market. Additionally, there are capsule galleries of young Italian and Vietnamese designers. In the show, costumes named Natural couture of Tiziano Guardini, Nuvola of Italo Marseglia, or Couture a la carte of Guillermo Mariotto all contribute to a luxury fashionable collection of Maison Gattinoni for culinary topic. Through the operations, The Italian Film Festival in Hanoi will give the public the similarities in both culture and cinema between Vietnam and Italy. Simultaneously, it is a chance to reproduce the ongoing reality of Italy and cultural values and traditions conveyed to the public in Vietnam.
