Notre Dame Cathedral Saigon

Huyen Sy Church or St. Philip Tong Church built by Mrs. Le Phat Dat, ie Huyen Sy. Tan Dinh Church (officially name is the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus) was started in 1870 and inaugurated in 1876. This is one of the first and largest churches in Saigon. Overall works brings Gothic-style architecture. The whole Church is now painted with pink; the facade consists of a main tower and two side towers. Furniture inside is fairly palatial with 2 Gothic colonnades made ​​of Italian marble leading main altar.

It is considered as miniature Notre Dame Cathedral Paris’s architecture. This is a typical church in Gothic architecture, in which wide arches are curved and point at the sky. Yet, as many other churches in Hanoi, St. Joseph’s Cathedral was localized in carved and gilded detail. Building materials of the church is terracotta tiles; walls plastered with cardboard.

Cua Bac Church - 56 Phan Dinh Phung

Cua Bac Church was designed and built in the North Gate of Thang Long Citadel in 1931-1932 by a priest - French architect named Co Huong in Vietnamese name. Cathedral does not follow rules of symmetry but is offset the high bell-tower on the right and balances with the dome in the central.

Ham Long Church was designed and completed by a Vietnamese architect in December, 1934 with the height of 17 meters. The church was built with traditional materials such as lime, bamboo and cardboard...to create arches and make echo effects when celebrating the Mass. Ham Long Church with two street frontage overlooking Ham Long and Ngo Thi Nham street is considered as one of the most beautiful churches in Hanoi.

An Thai Church (another name is Ke Buoi Church) was built in the late 19th century, early 20th century in An Thai village, belonging to Ke Buoi region in the south of West Lake. The church was built in the Renaissance-style architecture with the exquisite decoration. An Thai Church nowadays is one of the ancient Hanoi churches still retaining the original architectures.
