The event of launching a new route from Da Nang to Tokyo on the last July has opened up new opportunities for Hoi An Tourism to be promoted in Japan, expectedly welcoming a large number of Japanese tourists.

Quang Nam tourism industry will strengthen promotion in Japanese market by activity of the 12th Hoi An – Japan cultural exchange at Saika Festival in Osaka, Japan in October 2014. This October, troupes and tourism companies of Quang Nam Province will participate in cultural activities to promote image of Hoi An Ancient Town and to attract investment in Quang Nam.

Mr. Vo Phung, Director of Culture and Sport Center of Hoi An City, said that this cultural-exchange event is different from Japanese events held in Hoi An. Japanese tourists prefer destinations which are in possession of natural beauty, historical and cultural heritages, and diverse cuisine. Especially they show much interest in eco-tours, cultural exchange with local people. Therefore, Hoi An – Japan cultural exchange festival is definitely a great opportunity to attract more and more international tourists to Hoi An. Introducing Hoi An culture to Japanese tourists will be a good occasion for Japanese to learn more about cultural identity, quality of tourism services, and advantages of Quang Nam Province. It is also an opportunity for businesses in travel and hotel to strengthen promotion to attract international tourists in general and Japanese visitors in particular to Quang Nam.
