The project to upgrade and renovate Nguyen Hue Flower Street was officially commissioned in the celebration of 40 year anniversary of the liberation of the South, and Vietnam Reunification Day. The total capital of the investment is over 469.5 billion dong. To specify, all road surface and pavements are paved by natural stones with lines of lush green trees along two sides of road, art music water fountain system, underground control center, and public restrooms. According to Ho Chi Minh People's Committee, Nguyen Hue Walking Street has a length of 670 meters and a width of 64 meters. It has the total construction capital of nearly 430 billion dong, including Ho Chi Minh Statue Park (in front of Ho Chi Minh City Hall) from Le Thanh Ton Street to Le Loi Street, and Nguyen Hue Square from Le Loi Street to Ton Duc Thang Street near Saigon River.
The walking zone has two lanes for transportation circulation. In the center, it is the walking area of 27 meters. The walking street has a modern light system arranged along. Specifically, at the crossroads of Nguyen Hue Street - Le Loi Street and Nguyen Hue Street - Mac Thi Buoi Street, there are two music water lake combined with concentrated art light performance.
