In 2014, Hanoi has been chosen as the core place to hold a series of events celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Hanoi Liberation Day. With a careful preparation, the program will bring visitors impressive special performances praising Capital Hanoi and Vietnam in combat, construction and development processes. It is considered as the largest festivals in Hanoi in 2014.
Under the plan, cultural and art activities celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day will take place from October 2nd to 12th. Specifically, on October 2nd, the final of Hanoi Vocal was held at Hanoi Friendship Cultural Palace; on October 4th was Dragon Dance Festival in Hanoi at Ly Thai To Statue Square; Street Festival will take place on October 10th at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square on Dinh Tien Hoang Street. Especially, a fireworks display will be held at 30 districts and town throughout the city in the evening of October 10th 2014.
Besides main activities, many art programs will be held at stages set up at cultural centers, towns, and even residential areas where local people have few opportunities to access to cultural arts.
